Welcome to my new Website!

Happy May! As many of you probably know May is Celiac Disease Awareness Month and I’ve got some awesome things planned to celebrate (more on that to come later today), but it also has a very personal reason for celebration for me: Five years ago I began Celtic Celiac over at Blogspot.com by sharing my first post on May 15th. It was a reflection on being diagnosed earlier that year, and a musing on the hereditary nature of the condition within those of Irish Heritage, and thus Celtic Celiac was born.

Five years later and I’ve decided to treat myself, and you, to something I’ve been putting off for awhile by FINALLY launching my new website AND logos (drafted for me by a dear friend and artist Caitlin Yarsky). So, Welcome to www.CelticCeliac.com!!! I’ll be kicking off this new rebranding with some super giveaways and other posts in May, but I first wanted to give you a tour of the new site.

If you are a familiar user you’ll see that much of the content is the same, but the lay out of some of it has changed. Here’s a low down of the tabs you’ll find at the top of the page for your convenience. From left to right:

1. Home: This is where you’ll find all of my posts, in order of most recent to oldest.

2. About Me: This is where you can learn more about me, my perspective of the gluten free lifestyle. You can also find a form for contacting me directly in the drop down of this area.

3. Recipes: Here you’ll find not only my most recent recipes under ‘Most Recent Recipes’ in the drop down but also a complete list of my recipes. This complete list is broken up by type of food, ‘soup’ and ‘appetizers/sides’ being two examples. You’ll also notice that my recipes are now available in an easily printable format!

4. Product Reviews: Again this section is broken down into a page for product reviews in most recent order, and a complete list broken out by category (Ex: ‘Chips/Snacks’ and ‘Breads’). You can find a tab for each in the drop down under this section.

5. Social Work: On this page you’ll find articles on the psychosocial aspects of Celiac Disease and gluten free living such as thoughts on body image, toolkits for living a gluten free life, and musings on dealing with other people. Again you can look at these posts either in order posted or as a complete listing. This is a particular focus for this blog given my profession but one I’ve been lagging in lately.

6. Services: This is where you can find a complete listing of services I can offer as a gluten free blogger with a social work background, including but not limited to supermarket tours, and self advocacy support.

7. About Celiac Disease: The name for this on says it all. Here you’ll find some helpful links for information all about Celiac Disease.

8. Contact Me: Last but not least is a contact form for you to use if you have any questions or comments.

So, that’s the new site! What do you think? Don’t you just love the logo? I’d love to hear your feedback and hope you love the new site as much as I do! Be sure to keep following me on social media, and be sure to keep your eyes out for my post later today about what I’ll be doing to Celebrate Celiac Disease Awareness Month!
