The last few weeks have been difficult in respects to feeling happy in relation to food. I’ve been non stop since my return from a conference in Montreal. As my blog title reads part of my focus of this blog is to help with ideas on how to struggle less and stay sane in a fast pased world. This has been a real struggle for me recently, which should of course be the time when I blog. However, that too is difficult to do when everything is zooming by so quickly. Celiac Disease and the need for a gluten free diet is making me feel like an outcast these past few weeks, From going to a work party were I was promised gluten free food only to have chips and cheese to eat to dealing with there being little food in the house for the next few days because we’re moving I feel defeated by food and by circumstance. If there is a silver lining however I believe it’s that my Mike is starting to understand my ‘needs’ more and is amazing at solving my gluten free grumbles.
Once I have more time to update I will have a lot to share, such as the following:
1. Canadian travels on a gluten free diet
2. How a novice Celiac can learn alot from a ‘veteran’
3. The new found wonders of corn tortillas
4. Gluten free in the news and pop culture
5. Long Island gluten free
6. Much Much more!
I promise I will be back on and going by the second week in July, Until then I’ll be focusing on calming down and enjoying the sometimes rough waters of a gluten free life.
