Celiac Disease Expo in Arizona (and Increasing School Nurse Awareness)!
This of course it a bit to local to apply to all of my readers, however I thought it was relevant and important given their emphasis! The group, and the expo, have a focus of attempting to increase awareness and education about celiac disease to local school nurses. If we are to catch CD early in our children we need all of their medical professionals involved, including their nurses!
Hopes in Store for a New ‘Quick Test’ for Celiac Disease Diagnosis
Very Interesting! This seems, to me, to be similar to a litmus test for AIDS. Drop of blood/serum, drop of an added chemical and it changes colors if positive! It would be highly cost effective for CD diagnosis if something like this was to become marketable.
Celiac Disease Rates in Iran Similar to Those in Europe
It is always important to have a global view of disease in order to know it’s prevalence and populations at risk. This study adds another developing nation to the list of places with similar precentages of the population with CD. Now the question is what to do with this great information. I recommend using this as an increased need for standardized screenings!
