What’s better than getting food delivered right to your door? Getting food delivered right to your door that caters to your dietary needs AND gives meals to others. That for me is the selling point of Love with Foods Gluten Free Boxes, it must be the social worker in me: With every box delivered a meal is donated to a food bank for those in need. Awesome right? That’s not all that makes them awesome.
Their gluten free boxes are curated by G-Free Foodie, who hand picks 12-15 gluten free products to include in each month’s box. These products range from full size mixes and snacks to sample size items and even coupons or discount codes. In each box is also a description of the theme and items, including labels for whether they are also vegan, gmo free etc. Here’s an example of what was in my recent Saturday in the Park themed box, sent to me for review:
– Buddha Bowl Himalayan Pink Popcorn
– Original Shoestring Potatoes by Pik Nik
– Crazy Hot Popchips by Popchips (Yes- now gluten free!)
– Everything Savory Bar by Sheffa
– Fudge Indulgence cookie by Alternative Baking Company
– Schar Honey Grahams
– Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips
– Chocolate Maca Bar by Amrita Health
– Paleo Baking Company’s Paleo Hazelnut cake & muffin mix
– Chewy Banana Bites by Barnana
– Coupons/discounts from Simply 7, Sheffa, & Ruby Rockets
This was a great mix of old and new products for me. From sweet to savory I was pleased, and sometimes intrigued, with every bite. For example, the Everything Savory Bar by Sheffa had a brick consistency I was originally put off by but I loved the flavor! The Shoestring Potatoes from Pic Nik made for a great snack to have at work when I needed to reminisce about eating something similar as a kid at camp. The most interesting, and my favorite product of the box, was the Paleo Hazelnut Cake and Muffin Mix. I opted to make the cake, which tasted of nutella and fell somewhere between a cake and a muffin in consistency and sweetness. It was a great companion on one of our recent airplane trips! These boxes are certainly a good way to get some variety into your life.
So, how can you get your hands on your own box? The boxes are available online and can be ordered in month to month, three month, six month, and annual subscriptions. The price goes down the more months you subscribe for, ranging from $24.99 per month for the month to month subscription to $19.99 a month for the annual subscription. However, I’ve got two ways my readers can save thanks to Love With Food and G-Free Foodie:
1. 50% off your first box: Use this link to get your first box for 50% off (a $12.50 savings).
2. Enter to win: The sponsors have offered two of my readers one box each. See below for details on how to enter!
Happy entering, and please consider getting yourself some gluten free goodies while helping others by ordering a Gluten Free Love with Box!
* Note: As of July 2015 Taste Guru, another gluten free subscription box company whom I reviewed in the past, has merged with Love with Food.
I hope I win a box! I love that you donate as well. That makes it that much better.
