Celtic Celiac Holiday Gift Guide
- Without Grain: 100 Delicious Recipes for Eating a Grain-Free, Gluten-Free, Wheat-Free Diet by Hayley Barisa Ryczek ($15.14/Amazon): This book is one of my favorite new cookbook finds, and offers a variety of globally inspired recipes with similar staple ingredients. - Celiac and the Beast: A Love story between a gluten-free girl, her genes, and a broken digestive tract by Erica Dermer ($18/Celiac and the Beast): Erica is a fantastic blogger with a stellar sense of humor, and her book doesn’t cut any corners in describing what it is like to live gluten free.
- The Gluten Free Revolution by Jax Peteres Lowell (~$20/various sources): Jax’s first version of this book was my go to guide when I was originally diagnosed, and this updated version is like the holy grail of gluten free information. I’m still working through it for a full review, but it is great so far!
- Gluten Free and More Magazine Subscription (Currently $23/Year): This magazine comes out six times a year and is a great source of recipes, products, travel tips, lifestyle articles and more. As a bonus you get access to a lot of online resource as well.
- GFF Magazine Print or PDF Subscription (Currently $35/Year Print & $20/year PDF): This magazine is BEAUTIFUL, and well worth the money for a unique and intense view of gluten free living. They started from a kickstarter and subscriptions are available in hard copies or PDFs.
- Love with Food Gluten Free Monthly Subscription Box ($12.95 for the first box using above link, then $24.99/month for monthly subscription or $19.95/month ($239.88/year) for a yearly subscription): This box if chocked full of goodies each month, but they make getting food delivered straight to your door even better by giving food to others? - Cheryl’s Gluten Free Home for the Holidays Gift Tower ($49.99/Cheryl’s): In my search these gift towers and box sets from Cheryl’s appear to me the only gluten free ones available (in box form anyway), and are full of individually packaged delicious goodies such as fudge brownies, chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodle cookies, walnut brownies, and buttercream frosted sugar cookies. They’re made in their own gluten free facility.
- 1-2-3 Gluten Free Gourmet Brownie Chips (in chocolate chip, caramel and rainbow) ($6.99/bag): These chips are like the corner goodness of the brownies, perfect for pairing ice creams and coming in three flavors. 1-2-3 Gluten Free Gourmet Brownie Chips Celtic Celiac Review.
- Owl’s Brew Tea Mixers ($24.99/gift set, $9.99 -$16.99 for individual bottles): I love tea, and these mixers let you make a delicious tea cocktail right in your own home. - Kombucha Starter Kit ($54/The Kombucha Shop): Kombucha has been my go to homemaking project of the year. These fermented tea is great for digestion, and you can basically flavor it any which way, so why not start with this simple kit that includes all your essentials.
- Gluten Free Labels ($7.50/starter kit, other items available at $4.99 or higher– these reflect standard and discount prices valid through 11/26!): If you live with other people, or have friends or family, AND you eat food with them a little labeling of what’s gluten free can’t hurt. This starter kit offers a good selection of their products, but there are many more items available on their site.
- Gluten Libre Window Decals ($1.00 – $2.50 depending on size/Gluten Libre): This decal, available in 3 colors/sizes, makes your car look awesome as hell. Just pop it in a window and represent gluten free where ever you go.
- Recently Diagnosed Care Package –Including food diary, allergen safe stamped cutting board and serving platter. ($54.83/Safe and Happy Family): Know someone who is newly diagnosed with Celiac Disease, food allergy, or another medically restrictive diet? Help them organize and identify their allergen free foods with this recently diagnosed care package. There are even more great items available on the website as well for both adults and children.
- Honeybees for a family ($30/Heifer International): Heck, any gift from here is great and helps a family in need! A heifer gift of anything from a cow to a flock of geese has been a staple gift to some member of my family for over five years. Heifer now even offers larger gift options such as an entire ark of their animals to a water pump for a town, and you can even help send in veterinarians or educators to the communities!
